Weekend Party Animals

Our weekend excitement is minimal. Being pregnant, having a 20 month old, and it being so cold out, we don't have much of a life right now. For New Years Eve I was home alone with Whitney while Wade was gone deer hunting. The highlight of our night, as I was doing laundry, was when Whitney found garage sale stickers that matched the polka dots on her pj's. Then last Saturday night we went to Ankeny to go to Sportsmen's Warehouse and out to eat. We tried to go to Old Chicago early to beat the dinner rush, because that's what you do when you have a toddler, but at 5:30 they had a wait of 45mins. No thanks! We opted to go to McDonald's so Whitney could play in the Playhouse. Yep, that's our life!
she thinks it is funny to suck on a "baby". I just hope she doesn't take up the habit once the new baby comes around. That would be my luck since I was desperate for her to suck on one when she was a baby so she wouldn't be dependent on me for comfort.

  1. Ha ha! I had the same thoughts "Exciting Saturday" last Saturday. We went to a birthday party for Fieckerts' oldest son and I said, when I first met Andy and Travis (I was thinking of you and Kirsten, too), we sure weren't searching a bowling alley for a pacifier. when you go to Walmart and that is an exciting Saturday night (because you are usually at home in your PJs hoping for an early bedtime), you know you are a parent of toddlers. :)
